ABSTRACT |
A statistical analysis on 589 operated cases (552 Admitted patients) at our clinic during the period of 1 year from Aug. '76 to July '77. The following results were obtained. 1) The admission rate was 4.0% and operate 3.7% of total patients. 2) The highest incidence in age distribution was the second decade (29%) and followed by the first decade (19%) and sex distribution was higher in male (59%) than female (41%) with a ratio 1.4 to 1. 3) The highest incidence was observed in Jan. in monthy distribution and winter in the seasonal distribution. 4) The op. distrubution was as follows. : Head & neck op. 110 cases (19%), : Otologic op. 74 cases (12%), : Plastic & reconstructive op. 47 cases (8%), : Endoscopic op. 115 cases (20%), : General op. 243 cases (41%). a) The most frequent op. in Head & Neck field was cervical L.N. Biopsy (26 cases) followed by tracheostomy (23 cases), thyroidectomy (11 cases). b) The most frequent op. in otologic field was tympanoplasty & mastoidectomy (50 cases) and followed by radical mastoidectomy (14 cases). c) The most frequent op. in plastic & reconstructive field was reduction of nasal bone Fx. and followed by repair of cleft palate (7 cases). d) The most frequent op. in endoscopie field was direct laryngoscopy (66 cases) and followed by esophagoscopy (54 cases). e) The most frequent op. in gereral field was intranasal antrotomy (67 cases) and followed by tonsillectomy (60 cases). |
