ABSTRACT |
Cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea (CSF) uaually occurs as a result of trauma or surgical procedures involving cranial base. Generally CSF fistulae will heal with conservative management without intracranial complications. The authors experienced three cases of CSF rhinorrhea developed after hypophysectomy, traffic accident, and fall-down injury. All of the cases were followed by meningitis or brain abscess and they were treated with extranasal or intranasal approach.
