ABSTRACT

A blowout fracture is caused by a sudden increase in the intraorbital pressure, and often complicated by diplopia, enophthalmos, infraorbital nerve paralysis, ecchymosis and orbital emphysema. We experienced a case of pure blowout fracture of the floor of the orbit in 15 year old boy. We used a subciliary incision and restored the continuity of the orbital floor with the anterior wall of the maxillary sinus in the area of the canine fossa.
