A clinico-statistical analysis was performed on 680 cases who were selected in out-patient 21,887 cases to operate at department of otolaryngology, CAFGH during one year from March 1977 to February 1978. The result were as follows ; 1) The ratio in out-patient between militery group and familial group was 1.1 : 1, but 2.6 : 1 in operation case. 2) The highest incidence was observed on August in monthly distribution commonly in both groups. In operation distribution, there was not noticeable monthly difference in military group, but markable increase on Aug. Jan. Feb. in familial group. 3) The operation distribution in military group was highest in the SMR(19.3%) and the others were tonsillectomy(17.9%), tympanoplasty(7.5%), nasal bone reduction(6.3%), rhinoplasty(0.8%), Septoplasty(0.6%), angiofibroma(1%), facial N. anastomosis(0.2%), tracheoplasty(0.2%), but in familial group, highest in the tonsillectomy(55%) and the others were T & A (4.8%), polypectomy and ethmoidectomy(10.6%), tympanoplasty(3.8%), cleft palate(2.1%), maxillectomy(0.5%), thyroglossal duct cyst(0.5%), branchial cyst(0.5%), facial N. decompression(0.5%), etc.
