ABSTRACT

Endotracheal intubation is a common technique for general anesthesia or patency of airway. Since vocal process of arytenoid cartilage is vulnerable to intubation trauma, several postoperative complications such as edema, ulcer and granuloma of the larynx often arise. Since first reported intubation granuloma by Clausen in 1932, this granuloma is becoming more frequent due to increasing role of intubation in mordern surgery. We experienced 4 cases of laryngeal granuloma after endotracheal general anesthesia so report it with reviewing literature.
