Surgical Treatment of Traumatic Facial Nerve Palsy |

ABSTRACT |
Facial nerve palsy is not common disease in otolaryngologic field but very distressing disease of patients. Trauma is the most common cause except Bell's palsy and the temporal portion is the most common site. Using the surgical microscope and monofilament suture, result of the surgical repair such as end to end anastomosis, interpositional nerve graft and hypoglossal-facial nerve crossover has been improved. Recently, we experienced 2 cases of traumatic facial nerve palsy who were taken end to end anastomosis and interpositional nerve graft, the results were satisfied and so we report with the review of literature.
