Authors analysed clinical, radiological, and operative findings in 12 cases of the juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma. The results are as follows ; 1) All the patients were males, with the average age of 17.1 years old(12-23 years of age). 2) Average symptom duration was 18 months(6-60 months). Presenting symptoms are nasal obstruction, epistaxis, etc. 3) The tumor was presented with the average size of 4.3×3.1×1.1 cm, usually unilateral(83%). 4) The base of the tumor shows broad and multiple attachments. 5) At the time of diagnosis, the tumor extends variably into the sphenoid sinus(58%), pterygomaxillary fossa(50%), etc. 6) Main feeding vessels were ipsilateral internal maxillary artery(100%) and ascending pharyngeal artery(73%), etc. 7) Total removal of the extracranial portion of the tumor was possible via hemipalatal approach in 9 of the 12 patients, and combined sublabial transantral approach in one of them. 3 cases including a case with intracranial extension were treated with radiotherapy. 8) Average operation time was 1 hour and 50 minutes, and average operative blood loss was 575cc(500-1,500cc). There was no noticeable postoperative complications or mobidity.
