ABSTRACT |
Badly displaced teeth in such place as the nose and maxillary sinus are not common. Since the first description of the ectopic teeth by Albus, in 1754, a few cases of this type have been reported. Supernumerary teeth developed from third tooth bud arising from the dental lamina near the permanent tooth bud or possibly from splitting of the permanent bud itself during the neonatal period and from malposition of teeth roots by inflammation after birth. But it's origin was still unknown. The author has recently experienced 2 cases of the supernumerary teeth in the left nasal cavity and one case in the left nasal vestible. So we reported these cases with review of literatures. |
