ABSTRACT

Hearing tests of 2180 employees in the five different business offices were tested by the pure-tone audiometer on C4 and C5. The results showed as follows ; Normal (0-10 dB) → 932 ; Slight deafness (10-30 dB) → 1088 ; Mederate deafness (31-60 dB) → 192 ; severe deafness → 9. These results were rough and massive tests, but moderate and severe deafness seem to be significant and many employees felt no hearing difficulties. Subjectively, the authors suggest for the occupational deafness prevention by screening hearing test of empolyees.
