A Case of Multiple Lipoma of the Tongue

ABSTRACT

Lipoma is a benign neoplasm composed of mature fat cells and a delicate connective tissue stroma surrounded by a fibrous capsule. It generally occurs on body trunk but may also occurs on any other part of the body. Lipoma of the oral cavity is uncommon, especially multiple lipomas of the tongue are quite rare and are only several cases were reported in the world literature. Recently we experienced a case of bilateral multiple lipomas of the tongue and successfully managed it by surgical excision.
