ABSTRACT |
Pseudosarcoma is a rare variant of squamous cell carcinoma. This has been called squamous cell carcinoma with sarcoma-like stroma, carcinosarcoma, pseudosarcoma, spindle cell squamous carcinoma etc. Biopsy specimens of the tumors showed stroma which suggests a variant of sarcoma types. To confirm the diagnosis of pseudosarcoma, it requires thorough histological exmination. Immunohistochemical study may be of great help for diagnosis of these tumors. Recently we have experienced a case of pseudosarcoma of the larynx in a 60 years-old male. He had been performed the total laryngectomy, followed radiotherapy. We reviewed it with histologic and immunohistochemical study. So we report this case with some review of the literatures.
