ABSTRACT |
Kimura's disease is a rare chronic inflammatory disease characterized by unusual granulation with hyperplastic change of lymphatic tissue and localized mainly to the head and neck, especially periauricular region of young adults. Histopathologically, the lesions are characterized by solitary or multiple nodules on subcutis or dermis, or either combined with lymphoid hyperplasia and some vascular proliferation as well as eosinophilia are noted. The authors recently experience a case of Kimura's disease in 33 year-old man with posteroinfraauricular mass. After superficial parotidectomy including the mass, systemic corticosteroid administraion was done.
