ABSTRACT |
The multiple allergosorbent test chemiluminescent assay(MAST CLA) system is used for diagnosis of allergic rhinitis. It consists of three steps ; overnight incubation of serum, a 4-hour incubation with enzyme-labeled antibody and 30 minutes chemiluminescent reaction which produces a visible image on polaroid film. It's advantages are no use of isotopic materials, long term reagent stability and multiple allergens detection in one time. From sep. 1992 to Nov. 1992, authors evaluated MAST CLA system in 42 allergic rhinitis patients and compared the results with those of RAST and skin tests.
