Liposuction in Treatment of Lipoma and Lipomatosis

ABSTRACT

Liposuction has been shown to be effective technique for improving body contour by removing localized fat deposits. Today, liposuction has also been used to correct lipoma and lipomatosis and to defat flaps. Advantages of liposuction are eliminating the need for long, unsightly scar and reducing operating time and morbidity. We have experienced lipoma and lipomatosis in the neck which were treated successfully with liposuction. We report them with the review of literature.
