ABSTRACT |
Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia(HHT) is a familial syndrome inherited by an autosomal dominant mode and characterized by recurrent epistaxis with multiple telangiectatic lesions on the mucosa and skin. HHT is not unusual in western countries, but there was only one reported case of HHT in Korea. Recently we experienced a 45-year-old male patient who had been suffering from recurrent epistaxis and needed transfusions 2 or 3 times a month to correct anemia. The patient has been treated with septal dermoplasty successfully under general anesthesia.
