ABSTRACT

Keratosis obturans of the external auditory canal is relatively rare disease. Canal obstruction with keratin debris accompanied by otalgia and conductive hearing loss in young age are main clinical features. It should be differentiated from cholesteatoma, malignent otitis externa and tumors of the external auditory canal. We present two cases which are different in clinical spectrum. One of these cases shows extensive bony erosion, and marked change in tympanic membrane which are atypical clinical feature in keratosis obturans.

Keywords: Keratosis obturansExternal ear canal.
