ABSTRACT

Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a malignant tumor of the salivary or mucous glands and occurs most frequently in the minor salivary glands. It seldom occurs in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, lacrimal gland, trachea and external auditory canal. Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the larynx is exceedingly rare and comprises less than 0.25% of all laryngeal carcinoma. Supraglottic adenoid cystic carcinoma is rare with only 16 cases reported in literature. Authors reported an additional case with 4-year-follow up and review of the literature.
