ABSTRACT

The adenoid cystic carcinoma has a characteristic clinical course, which is often protracted, and has a relentless local infiltration. Usually it has ultimate potential for regional and distant metastatic pattern. There is a rare incidence of occurrence in the trachea. Recently we experienced a case of adenoid cystic carcinoma in the trachea for which total laryngectomy with resection of the upper trachea was done, and verified histologically adenoid cystic carcinoma. So, we report it with the literatures.
