Tuberculosis of the pharynx and larynx may be secondary to tuberculosis lesion elsewhere in the body especially the lung almostly, or a primary affection from inhaled tubercle bacilli. The most authorities agree that the former is usual and that the latter is very rare and that the primary tuberculosis of tonsil is extremely rare. Recently, we experienced two cases of oropharyngeal tuberculosis, the one is a primary tuberculosis of palatine tonsil in a 25 year old female patient diagnosed after tonsillectomy due to frequent sore throat, the other is a secondary tuberculosis of oropharynx including larynx, which is associated with miliary pulmonary tuberculosis in a 24 year old female patient. The diagnosis were confirmed by histopathological examination. So authors report these cases with the review of the literatures.
