ABSTRACT

Laryngeal papilloma is one of the most troublesome disease because of frequent recurrence and lack of excellent treatment modality. Recently, CO2 Laser has been applicated for the management of laryngeal papilloma and the good results have been established. The unique properties of the CO2 Laser, including an extraordinary hemostatic effect, as well as minimal postoperative edema and scarring, make it an ideal tool for management of the lesion of the airway including laryngeal papilloma. The authors have treated 17 patients of laryngeal papilloma with CO2 Laser during a period of Mar. 1985 through July 1987 and the good results were obtained.
