ABSTRACT |
A
35-year-old male patient accidentally inhaled the remaining Intal powder on the propeller on the spindle after unscrewing the body from the mouth piece. We used general endotracheal anesthesia after tracheostomy for his safety because of the possibility of asphyxiation in his asthma attack and laceration of the larynx due to propeller's sharpness. The propeller was successfully removed from the larynx through direct laryngoscope. For prevention of the recurrence of such accidents, the patient should and must be informed on the proper method and instruction on how to use the spinhaler correctly.
