ABSTRACT |
There has been a little report about elongated styloid process in Korea. Abnormally elongated styloid process is rarely producing severe symptomes. Recently we have experienced a case of elongated styloid process in a thirty-eight-year-old woman. She had been suffering from right. side sore throat and right. otalgia recently after tonsillectomy. At physical examination there was no remarkable findings except local tenderness at right. tonsillar bed. At X-ray examination, elongated styloid process was confirmed. Under the general anesthesia, it was removed out via transoral approach successfully.
