ABSTRACT |
The intramuscular hemangioma is very rare, which accounts for 1% of all hemangioma and congenital hamartomatous tumor in its origin. It arises about 15% in head and neck and masseter muscle is the most common site but rare in buccinator muscle. The preoperative diagnosis of the intramuscular hamangioma is difficult due to the rarity of disease and non specific clinical features. Recently, the authors experienced a case of the intramuscular hemangioma of left buccinator muscle which was treated by surgical removal. So we report a case with brief review of the literatures.
