ABSTRACT |
The solitary neurofibroma is a localized neurofibroma that, by definition, occurs in a patient who does not have Von Recklinghausen's disease. The distinction of the two is based on a clinical aspect because histologically it is often difficult to differentiate a solitary neurofibroma from manifestation of neurofibromatosis. There are several reports of neurofibroma originating from tongue, pharynx or larynx. However, neruofibroma of the palate is fairly rare. Authors discuss the literatures of neurofibroma with the case report of solitary neurofibroma of palate observed in 58 yrs old male.
