ABSTRACT

The myxoma is a non-epithelial odontogenic tumors, which occurs frequently in facial bones. Myxoma of facial bones, neoplasms of uncertain histogenesis, expand to surrounding structures and if not completely excised will recurl locally. The author experienced a case of myxoma, which was developed in maxilla in a 21 year old Korean male. He complained of mild dull pain on right maxilla, marked swelling with facial deformity. Through lateral rhinotomy approach, the well demarcated mass was removed by local excision and confirmed as a myxoma histopathologically.
