ABSTRACT

Ewing's sarcoma is a malignant neoplasm characterized by a low incidence of occurrence but having a high degree of malignancy. Primary Ewing's sarcoma of the mandible is exceedingly rare in the practice of the Otolaryngology. It appears to originate from immature medullary reticulum cells and is more common during the first three decades of life. We have recently experienced a case of Ewing's sarcoma arising in the mandible of 14-year-old male patient. The mass was removed under general anesthesia and confirmed as Ewing's sarcoma of the mandible on histopathological examination.
