Allergens are classified as inhalant allergens and food allergens. Inhalant allergens include dust, fungi, pollen, wood, epithelials, insect and fabrics, and food allergens include cereals, egg and milk, meats, fishes, shell fishes, vegetables, fruits and beverage and so on. Skin test with Bencard allergens was performed with 360 cases of bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria and, which were diagnosed at allergy clinic of the Seoul National University Hospital during a period of 1 year from Nov., 1979 till Oct., 1980. The frequency of positive skin reaction was studied. The results was as follows; 1) Inhalant allergens were mainly house dust mite (D.f.), Rhizopus nigricans, house dust mite (D.p.), house dust, silk, camel heir, Trichophyton spp., Cat fur, dog hair and staphylococcus aureus. Food allergen were eggplant, shrimp, horse radish, quail egg, potato, soy sauce, bread, rabbit, shellfish, and fig. 2) Allergen in bronchial asthma were rhizopus nigricans, house dust mite (D.f.), house dustmite (D.), house dust mite (D.p), silk, trichophyton spp., camel hair, staphylococcus aureus, ustilago tritici, goat hair, cat fur, and house fly. 3) Allergen in allergic rhinitis were house dust mite (D.f.), house dust mite (D.p.), rhizopus migricans, house dust, silk, dog hair, cat fur, camel hair, house fly and trichophyton spp.. 4) Allergen in bronchial asthma combined with allergic rhinitis were house dust mite (D.p), house dust mite (D.f), house dust, rhizopus nigricans, camel bair, dog hair, cat hair, cat fur, house fly, silk, and trichophyton spp.. |
