The Measurement of impedance audiometry of middle ear has contributed in making diagnosis of ear disease for many years since Metz introduced its clinical use on 1946, and its studies have been carried by many others in various field and developed to diagnose ear problem. Since the impedance audiometry was introduced in our country on 1975, no standard values of the test have made as well. We therefore studied 675 adults aging 16 to above in order to help establishing our standards. The results are as follows : 1) Tympanogram found 93.5% type A, 4.7% type B, 1.8% type C. 2) Static compliance, mean value, is 0.8cc to 1.82cc in 99%, 0.14cc to 1.49cc in 95%. 3) Stapedial reflex is 93.57% dB at 500Hz, 95.16dB at 1KHz, 95.63dB at 2KHz, and 95.8dB at 4KHz. |
