Clinical Observation on Effect of the Bleeding in Tonsillectomy under Local Infiltration Anesthesia

ABSTRACT

Clinical observation was made on bleeding and pain in randomly selected 47 cases with chronic faucial tonsillitis were tonsillectomized under local infiltration anesthesia in one side and room temperatured infiltration anesthesia in the other side at Ewha Womans University Hospital from April 1972 to August 1973. The result obtained were as follows : 1) No significant difference for bleeding was found in each side. 2) In the side of cold infiltration anesthesia 17 cases were less painful than the other side, 13 were more painful, 8 were equal in both and 9 were unknown.
