Clinical and statistical analysis was done for 49 cases of nasal, oral, pharyngeal and laryngeal tuberculosis, which were confirmed histopathologically at Dept. of Otolaryngology, Seoul National University Hospital, from Jan. 1965 to April 1969. The results were as followings ; 1) Of 20,606 cases of out patient, 49 cases (0.24%) were nasal, oral, pharyngeal and laryngeal tuberculosis. 2) Of 49 cases, male were more common, about 3 times, than female. In male patients, their age was almost over 40, but in female patients, their age was almost under 40. 3) In all cases, duration of disease was less than one year, except 3 cases. 4) Of 49 cases laryngeal tuberculosis was most common (26 cases) and 6 cases of pharyngeal, 5 cases of oral and 3 cases of nasal tuberculosis were observed. Four cases of combined oral and pharyngeal, 2 cases of oral and laryngeal and 3 cases of oral, pharyngeal and laryngeal tuberculosis were also observed. 5) Pain was most frequent complaint in all cases and hoarseness was common in laryngeal tuberculosis. Subjective symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis were observed in 14 cases. 6) All cases, except 4, had pulmonary tuberculosis and cervical lymph nodes swelling was noted in 6 cases.
