ABSTRACT |
Case 1
: A 20 year-old Korean female visited to Chonnam University Hospital on Dec. 22, 1965, with chief complaints of frequent nasal bleeding, nasal obstruction and foreign body sensation. In physical examination nose revealed that the anterior portion of left nasal cavity was partially occluded with round pedunculated, partially ulcerated mobile mass arising from the anterior portion of nasal septum on right side (Kiesselbach's area). Histopathological finding proved to be angiofibroma.
Case 2 : A 55 year-old obese man was admitted to Chonnam University Hospital on March 12, 1966, with chief complaints of profuse persistent nasal bleeding and nasal obstruction. Rhinological examination revealed that the anterior superior portion of left nasal cavity was occluded with thumb tip sized dark reddish tumor-like mass from which considerable amount of fresh blood was oozing on inferior portion of tumor neighboring to the inferior turbinate. The histopathological finding disclosed cavernous hemangioma.
Case 3 : A 23 year-old pregnant woman who has been suffered from frequent nasal bleeding and nasal obstruction for one month visited to Chonnam University Hospital on Aug. 23, 1966. Rhinological examination showed that the junction of right inferior turbinate & floor of nasal vestibule was occluded with small bean sized dark reddish polypoid mass. Histopathological finding revealed telangiectatic hemangioma.
