Bronchogenic cyst, a kind of an anomaly from the foregut, contains some normal bronchial elements, ie ; smooth muscle, elastic tissue, fibrous tissue and cartilage. The cyst is filled with mucoid material and is usually lined with pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium. These cysts usually arise in proximity to the trachea, major bronchus or esophagus, however paralaryngeal bronchogenic cysts are extremely rare. The authors recently experienced a case of bronchogenic cyst in the left anterolateral area of the thyroid and cricoid cartilages in a 21-year-old woman. So, we report this case with a review of the literatures.
